Mustard in Holiday Mode

PANAMA - Dec 21/18 - SNS -- North American mustard entered the holiday season mostly unchanged, with most buyers and sellers waiting for the new year.

Growers got their first ideas of new crop pricing during the week, with yellow and brown mustard bids discounted to spot market, while oriental is showing a small premium for delivery after the 2019 harvest.

The steepest discounts were for No 3 and No 4 Canada brown mustard seed. New crop price offerings ranging up to U.S. $146 per metric ton (MT) lower than spot, with 2019 crop bids No 3 brown bid ranging up to $309 MT and No 4 grade ranging up to $276 MT.
