Dry Beans Modestly Firmer

PANAMA - Nov 30/18 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a modestly firmer note in the face of defensive pricing by exporters and processors because of the holiday season.

As a result, the U.S. spot index for beans inched up 0.6 points on the week to finish at 111.8 points.

Other major pulse price indices were also firmer on the week. The Canadian pulse price index rose 1.6 points to finish at 127.5 because of improved export demand for peas and lentils.
