Dry Beans Mostly Unchanged

PANAMA - Nov 23/18 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets were unchanged in a holiday shortened trading week.

The Thanksgiving Day holiday in the United States also signals the start of the Christmas and New Year's holiday season in many countries, generally resulting in a seasonal slow down in trading activity.

As a result, the U.S. spot index for beans was unchanged on the week at 111.2 points. By contrast, other major pulse price indices were firmer on the week. The Canadian pulse price index rose 0.4 points to finish at 125.9. The world pulse price index advanced 3.2 points to close at 139.
