Mustard Markets Fairly Steady

PANAMA - Nov 9/18 - SNS -- Mustard markets were relatively steady during the past week, with bids to farmers in Canada unchanged to firmer.

Saskatchewan Agriculture's final crop report of the year suggest production of all classes could reach 208,000 metric tons (MT) this year, up 19% from the last forecast by Statistics Canada and up sharply from last year's 121,600 MT harvest.

Reports from provincial crop reporters suggest the quality of this year's harvest is better than average, with 80% expected to grade No 1 Canada, compared to the recent average of 75% but down from last year's 87%. The proportion grading No 2 Canada is estimated to be around 19%, compared to 21% on average and 13% last year.
