Mixed Week in Chickpeas
PANAMA - Sep 28/18 - SNS -- Chickpea markers registered a mixed week in world trade, with regional premiums appearing in Europe and other locations.
Some European packagers and canners who cannot substitute imported for domestic product were reported paying higher prices for local output even though there are cost savings by buying from Russia and other origins.
An additional concern with those who are HAACP certified is traceability of products used, including knowledge of how they were grown.
