PANAMA - Sep 28/18 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged on the week, through growers saw a 3% drop in bids for oriental.
Canada's harvest was stalled at 76% complete because of cool and wet conditions across much of Saskatchewan. Of the remaining crop, 18% if ready to straight combine, 2% in swatch, and 12% is still standing.
Significantly, the harvest has now fallen below the recent five and three year averages of 84% complete after the third week of September. Last year, 94% of the crop was in the bin by this time.
