USDA Buys 22,460 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Sep 22/18 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 22.460 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 200005615 the USDA is buying pulses packed in 50 kg bags. In announcing the purchase results, the USDA said 380 MT of lentils was not purchased due to a change in program requirements.
Purchases are for shipment from interior plants between October 16 to November 6 and between November 7 to November 28 for plants located at port.
