No Change in Birdseeds
PANAMA - Sep 7/18 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were largely unchanged during the past week, with available supplies from processors and growers remaining well balanced with the short term needs of the market.
Statistics Canada released official export data for July during the past week. Movement during the month pushed total exports for the marketing year to just over 147,000 metric tons (MT), down from almost 153,000 the previous marketing year and below the recent five year full season average of 152,700 MT.
The most significant change seen during the season was a reduction in movement to Mexico. That is Canada's most important buyer. Shipments were down roughly 6,500 MT at just over 27,700.
