U.S. Bean Crop Condition Remains Good
WASHINGTON - Aug 27/18 - SNS -- Dry edible bean crops in the United States remain in good condition with harvest activity reported or pending in more states as crops mature.
Judging from states reporting to the USDA, 47% of the crop is in good condition, 12% excellent, 25% fair, 7% poor and 2% very poor.
So far, 6% of the crop has been harvested, the same as last year, and above the recent average of 3% complete by the start of the fourth week of August.
