No 2 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/18 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Red Lentil markets finished the 2017-18 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 39% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Red Lentil was CDN$19.46 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $31.75 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $24.80 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $16.31 per cwt in July.
