No 1 Eston Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/18 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Eston Lentil markets finished the 2017-18 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 35% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Eston Lentil was CDN$29.56 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $45.55 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $39.40 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $22.50 per cwt in July.
