French¨Pea Exports Maintain Pace
PARIS - Jul 10/18 - SNS -- Processors and exporters in France continue to see relatively strong demand from the European Union member states, judging from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during May totalled 17,910 metric tons (MT), down 7% from the 19,310 MT shipped the previous month, and almost double the 9,490 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 4% from last year at 268,720 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination, taking 12,300 MT. Netherlands was the second most important destination at 2,015 MT, followed by Spain at 1,925 MT and Italy at 695 MT.
