Easier Note in Peas

PANAMA - Jul 6/18 - SNS -- International field pea markets finished the week's trading on an easier note with the focus starting to shift into new crop shipping positions.

Available supplies of peas in the coming season will be lower than initially thought because of better than expected movement of old crop peas.

Data from the Canadian Grain Commission shows that another 119,000 metric tons (MT) of peas were loaded for bulk export in June, lifting bulk movement from export terminals to 1.87 million MT so far during the marketing year, down from 3.31 million during the same 10-month period last season.
