Lentils Holding Steady
PANAMA - Jun 15/18 - SNS -- Lentil markets were generally unchanged in seasonally light trading interest during the past week.
Seeding of the North American crop is now complete, with many areas reporting improvements in soil moisture conditions on account of recent rainfall events.
Markets continue to doubt that farmers planted as many lentils as intended in Canada, with expectations high that the coming June 29 seeded area estimate will show a bigger drop in area than the current official forecast.
