Regional Demand Consumes French Peas
PARIS - May 11/18 - SNS -- Field pea shippers in France continued to exmpahsis regionale demand in April, according from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 19,310 metric tons (MT), down 9% from the 21,235 MT shipped the previous month, and almost double the 10,940 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 7% from last year at 250,810 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination, taking 11,220 MT. Netherlands was the second most important destination at 4,950 MT, followed by Spain at 1,260 MT and Italy at 663 MT.
