Peas Fundamentals Less Scary

PANAMA - Jun 8/18 - SNS -- International field pea markets finished the week little changed against good, ongoing export movement.

Preliminary Canadian Grain Commission data indicates May was the second best month for bulk pea movement from Canada so far during the 2017-18 marketing year. Between May 1 and June 3, 402,200 metric tons (MT) were loaded for bulk export, compared to 177,800 MT in April.

Judging from the stocks situation, bulk export loadings through the middle of June should be down, but inventories are at levels which suggest loadings could pick up during the last half of the month.
