Mustard Class Spreads Narrow

PANAMA - Jun 8/18 - SNS -- Price spreads between brown mustard and other classes narrowed on the week, with asking prices for yellow and oriental advancing while brown was stable.

With seeding virtually complete in Canada, prices for spot and new crop markets are starting to converge.

The net result is average grower bids for yellow and oriental mustard on spot markets are being forced upward because growers the new crop premium is it is profitable to carry product until September or October.
