Lentil Values Hold Steady

PANAMA - Feb 23/18 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week little changed as the pace of grower selling remains in line with the short term needs of processors and exporters.

Markets in the United States were helped by a food aid tender announced at the end of the week. The USDA is seeking offers of 11,190 metric tons (MT) of No 3 or better lentils for shipment from origin processing plants during April.

Earlier in the week, the USDA bought 1,360 MT of lentils for shipment in March, paying an average $526.86 MT delivered Gulf ports.
