Mixed Tone in Dry Beans
PANAMA - Feb 16/18 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets registered a mixed performance during the past week, with many market participants attending international conferences in India and Dubai.
Markets in the United States finished the week on a modestly firmer note, with prices moving in their recent range. This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans, which finished the week inched up 0.5 points to finish the week at 124.
Other major pulse price indices finished the week on an easier note. The Canadian pulse price index lost one point to finish at 155.9, while the world pulse price index dropped 0.6 points on the week to close at 141.8.
