Canadian Grower Bids Remain Depressed

PANAMA - Feb 10/18 - SNS -- International lentil markets were little changed in relatively light trade during the past week.

Bids to Canadian farmers remain at the bottom end of their historic price range for reds, sitting in between decile one and two. This means prices have been higher over 80% of the time and should strongly discourage plantings this year in net exporting countries.

Green lentil bids remain in the middle of their historic price range, with large greens sitting at decile five, and both small and medium greens at decile five.
