Softer Tone in Dry Beans

PANAMA - Feb 10/18 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading with a softer undertone against expectations of an improvement in available supplies during the first half of the calendar year.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans, which finished the week lost 1.0 points to finish the week at 124.3 in limited trading activity.

Other major pulse price indices finished the week on a mixed note. The Canadian pulse price index fell 8.1 points to finish at 152.9, while the world pulse price index gained 2.2 points lower on the week to close at 143.6.
