China Emerges As French Customer
PARIS - Jan 10/18 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France rebounded in November after the country's first major sale to China, according from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 46,480 metric tons (MT), more than quadruple the 8,536 MT shipped the previous month, and more than six times as great as the 6,325 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 7% from last year at 173,595 MT.
China was the most important destination, taking 30,000 MT. Belgium was the second most important destination at 9,430 MT, followed by Italy at 3,445 and Netherlands at 1,780 MT.
