First New Crop Thoughts In Beans
PANAMA - Jan 5/18 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were little changed during the past week, with traders only just shifting into business mode after the long Christmas and New Year's break.
This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans, finished the week unchanged at 125.8 in limited trading activity.
Other major pulse price indices finished the week on a mixed note. The Canadian pulse price index rose 2.3 points to finish at 158.7 against fill in demand from exporters, while the world pulse price index inched up 0.1 points on the week at 143.4.
