PANAMA - Oct 27/17 - SNS -- Lentil markets maintained their softer tone through the past week, with spreads between No 1 and No 2 grade continue to widen in both grower and export markets.
Some market participants are concerned growers have become too optimistic about prospects for a price recovery after the new year.
They believe this is not possible without a problem with rabi season pulse crops on the Indian subcontinent or indications of a massive decline in North American plantings in 2018.
