Sunflower Nervous About USDA Report
PANAMA - Oct 6/17 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were mostly unchanged in front of the October 12 USDA crop report, which will contain forecasts for sunflower.
"The biggest unknown for this year has been the drought impact on production in the Dakotas, the largest sunflower producers," argues the U.S. based National Sunflower Association.
"A significant drop off in yield will impact the market and buyers are anxious to see where USDA pegs 2017 sunflower production prospects before making longer term purchases."
