Modest Mustard Seed Movement
PANAMA - Sep 10/17 - SNS -- Canada's mustard seed harvest is making excellent progress, with 58% of the crop in the bin during the past week, compared to 25% last year and the recent average of 41%.
This suggests there is around 167,000 metric tons (MT) of mustard seed available in Canada, compared to a forecast export demand of almost 120,000 MT.
The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 300 MT of bulk mustard seed export clearances through reporting terminals and primary elevators between August 28 to September 3.
