Nominal Bulk Chickpea Movement
PANAMA - Sep 10/17 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 100 MT of bulk chickpeas were exported through reporting terminals and primary elevators between August 28 to September 3. That lifted season to date exports to 100 MT, compared to 500 MT exported during the previous marketing year.
Farmers delivered 1,600 MT of chickpeas to primary elevators during the week. This lifts season to date deliveries by farmers to 3,200 MT, compared to 1,600 MT during the same period last season.
Elevators and terminals reported selling 500 MT of bulk chickpeas to domestic buyers during the week. So far this season, sales total 1,300 MT, compared to 400 MT during the same period last season.
