June French Pea Exports Collapse
PARIS - Aug 17/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France collapsed in May, according from data available from Eurostat.
Export shipments during the month totalled 1,035 metric tons (MT), down 89% from the 9,515 MT shipped the previous month, and down 96% from the 24,575 MT shipped the same month last year. The 2016-17 export campaign finished with movement down 8% from last season at 297,395 MT.
Shipments were only reported to Switzerland and Ecuador, with Switzerland taking 1,028 MT of peas and Ecuador 7 MT.
