Dry Beans Ease on USDA Reports

PANAMA - Aug 13/17 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets finished the week on an easier note after the USDA revised its seeded area estimate upward from 1.438 to just under 1.563 million acres.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans which finished the week down 0.8 points to finish the week at 140.3 points.

The current North American weather market affected other major pulse prices indices. The Canadian pulse price index slipped 0.6 points to finish at 191.9, while the world pulse price index lost 1.8 points to close the week at 172.1.
