Edible Beans Steady Before USDA Report

PANAMA - Aug 6/17 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were generally firmer in light trade and worries about the yield potential of crops in key producing regions in the United States.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans which finished the week gained 0.9 points to finish the week at 141.1 points.

The current North American weather market affected other major pulse prices indices. The Canadian pulse price index rose 1.9 points to finish at 192.5, while the world pulse price index gained 1.6 points to close the week at 173.9.
