Canadian Special Crop Index Review
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canada's speciallty crop crop dealer price index finished the 2016-17 marketing year slipping 4% below the recent three year average.
For the season just ended, the Special Crop Index was 187 points, compared to an annual average of 194 during the previous three year period for dry edible bean classes included in the index calculation.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was 205 points in January, while the lowest monthly average trading level was 174 points in September.
