Extra 3 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian Extra 3 Red Lentil markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 20% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Extra 3 Red Lentil was CDN$25.91 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $32.51 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $32.40 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $19.20 per cwt in March.
