VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 48% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea was CDN$1067.56 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $719.09 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $1328.30 per MT in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $714.30 per MT in March.
