Green Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian Green Pea markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers slipping 3% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Green Pea was CDN$317.62 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $327.99 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $349.06 per MT in December, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $275.58 per MT in September.
