VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian 8mm Kabuli Chickpea markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 41% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for 8mm Kabuli Chickpea was CDN$1206.61 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $854.00 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $1433.00 per MT in December, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $714.30 per MT in March.
