VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian 7mm Kabuli Chickpea markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 37% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for 7mm Kabuli Chickpea was CDN$871.23 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $637.78 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $1118.85 per MT in January, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $449.76 per MT in March.
