French Pea Exports Slowing
PARIS - July 7/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France continued their seasonal slowdown in May, judging from data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 9,425 metric tons (MT), down 13% from the 10,826 MT shipped the previous month, and down 52% from the 19,955 MT shipped the same month last year. Season to date movement is now down 6% from last season at 278,625 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination during the month with shipments of 6,835 MT, followed by Switzerland at 844 and Italy at 463 MT.
