U.S. Dry Bean Area Up 10%

WASHINGTON - Jun 30/17 - SNS -- Dry edible bean seedings in the United States jumped 10% over last year to 1.82 million acres, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates for 2017.

Area harvested is forecast to total 1.77 million acres, up 13% from 2016. Eight of the 11 estimating States expect an increase in total dry bean planted acres from last year.
