Peas Waiting on Acreage Reports
PANAMA - Jun 25/17 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week's trading little changed in both spot and new crop shipping positions.
Markets are looking toward the seeded area estimates from both the United States and Canada for the first view of supply fundamentals for the coming marketing year.
Seeding of peas, lentils and chickpeas was mostly complete when the Canadian survey was being conducted, suggesting the numbers will be closer to the actual area instead of representing an updated seeding intentions report.
