PARIS - June 13/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France continued their seasonal slowdown in April, judging from data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 10,940 metric tons (MT), up 5% from the 10,405 MT shipped the previous month, but down 74% from the 42,165 MT shipped the same month last year. Season to date movement is now down 3% from last season at 269,110 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination during the month with shipments of 7,430 MT, followed by Italy at 1,160 and Switzerland at 732 MT.
