Chickpeas Hold Steady

PANAMA - Jun 10/17 - SNS -- Few changes were noted in chickpeas markets during the past week.

Kabuli type remain firm because of tight supplies among key exporters. On the other hand, desi chickpeas remain concerned about the demand potential from the Indian subcontinent after the Australian harvest.

India harvested a record rabi season pulse crop. Though traders in that country think the government has over-estimated the crop, there is no question that output is up.
