Kabulis Maintain Strength

PANAMA - Jun 4/17 - SNS -- International chickpea markets continue to remain firm against relatively tight supplies of kabuli, though desi is starting to feel the impact of harvest selling pressure in India.

Kabuli prices were relatively steady during the past week, with marketable stocks of large caliber product likely to remain behind the needs of the market until India and Mexico harvest their crops in 2018.

Small caliber kabuli supplies will improve and to the extent their price structure relies on sales to India, values could come under pressure because of this year's record rabi season harvest.
