Birdseeds Ease on Week
PANAMA - Jun 4/17 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredients finished the week's trading on a generally easier note against seasonally light demand for old crop merchandise.
Canadian canaryseed and millet markets were little changed on the week, while confection and oil type sunflower were mostly softer.
Seeding is making good progress in both the United States and Canada. Canaryseed planting is reported to be 71% complete, compared to 86% at this time last year and the recent average of 73%.
