Shifting Sentiment in Dry Beans

PANAMA - May 28/17 - SNS -- Market sentiment in dry edible beans is shifting because of reduced yield and quality expectations for both Argentina and Brazil.

However, this is partly offset by the belief Mexico may not need to import as much product in the coming season as initially hoped. This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans whish slipped 0.8 points on the week to 139.5.

Other pulse markets were unchanged to easier. The Canadian pulse price index gained 1.8 points to finish at 184.3, while the world pulse price index dropped one point to close the week at 183.4.
