French January Pea Exports Up
PARIS - Feb 14/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France improved in January on account of increased movement within the European Union, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 12,190 metric tons (MT), up 68% from the 7,265 MT shipped the previous month, and up 22% from the 10,005 MT shipped the same month last year. Season to date movement remains 22% over last season at 207,090 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination in November with shipments of 5,990 MT, followed by Italy at 3,405 and Switzerland at 1,415 MT.
