PANAMA - Mar 12/17 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports no bulk chickpeas were exported through reporting terminals and primary elevators between February 27 to March 5. Season to date exports total 2,000 MT, compared to 3,600 MT during the previous marketing year.
Farmers delivered 1,300 MT of chickpeas to primary elevators during the week. This lifts season to date deliveries by farmers to 25,300 MT, compared to 33,900 MT during the same period last season.
Elevators and terminals reported selling 300 MT of chickpeas to domestic buyers during the week. So far this season, sales total 5,500 MT, compared to 3,500 MT during the same period last season.
