French Pea Exports Remain Slow
PARIS - Jan 9/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France were continued to slow in November against a general decline in movement, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during November totalled 6,325 metric tons (MT), down 45% from the 11,545 MT shipped the previous month, and down 83% from the 37,265 MT shipped the same month last year. Even so, season to date mobvement is up 22% over last season at 187,655 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination in November with shipments of 4,265 MT, followed by Germany at 602 and Netherlands at 360 MT.
