VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian Red Lentil markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices soaring 15% above the recent three year average annual price on inter-dealer markets in that country.
The average trading level for Red Lentil was USD$40.64 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual market value of $35.32 during the previous three year period for machine dressed merchandise packed in bags delivered to Montreal.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was $45.63 per cwt in January, while the lowest monthly average trading level was $34.88 per cwt in July.
