No 1 Eston Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Eston Lentil markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 55% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Eston Lentil was CDN$52.82 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $34.10 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $64.75 per cwt in April, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $35.50 per cwt in August.
