Mustard Largely Unchanged
PANAMA - May 26/23 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets finished the week's trading largely unchanged in spot shipping positions in Canadian dollar term, but lower in U.S. currency.
Some market participants remain surprised by the ongoing strength of spot markets given the size of new crop discounts and the level of progress seeding this year's crops.
As the week got underway available data suggests 65% of Saskatchewan's mustard seed crop was in the ground as the week got underway, compared to 60% last year and the recent average of 83%.
